Finally got into production. Most of the place is framed, waiting for the last parts to come in, so I get some time off like I need it. Building with metal is different and pretty decent; I like it.

Now let me talk about the two richest men in America. They plan to give huge quantities of cash to some of the poorest/dumbest people on the planet. Somehow I see all that money squandered in about 10 years.

Why give it to them? What are we, the red-headed step child? They, Buffet and Gates could have just as well donated that cash to the National Debt and done a lot more good. Why not give back from which it came? All they'll be able to do now is spred the wealth successfully like a Socialist.

I hope you like Oregon. Are you returning home to Oregon or are you a recent transplant?

I like the trails and the mountains here in Oregon and not much else.....very beautiful scenery...you are on the coast though, yeah....

People with surplus money are different species on this planet. Common sense? I think not!

My heart has been in Oregon since I first was there. I was raised in the North East. I liked it there but couldn't stand the humidity. I guess I'm a hill-billy at heart.

Mom always said to me, "Charity begins at home." There was never any doubt about what it meant. I have a small inheritance due me but I also have a couple of brothers, retarded twins who need support till they die. Some of my other siblings complain about it but I don't. The whiners are the worthless ones who contributed little or nothing to the wealth Mom and Dad made. Anyway, I just think if you're gonna' go givin' it away, you oughta' think about your own first.

I lived in the NE too around Delaware and southern NJ in Cape May. I like the NE too but it is too expensive for my taste now. My husband has a trade and he likes to move around every 3-5 years. He is from CAL so we lived there almost 8 years so that is the longest we stayed anywhere so far.

It is a long trip from the east coast to the west coast, yeah....

Since you lived in California...just a warning there....a lot of Oregonians do not like Californians. I have had people almost run me over when I had CAL car tags on my car. Others who moved from CAL told me similiar stories....

Exactly....ones own family comes first and foremost. Too right!!!

Back in CAL, we knew a couple who adopted a baby only to find out when he was 2yo that he was deaf. Well he became educated despite being deaf. Then when he was 19 he had a brain hemmorrhage and became legally blind and now he has a capacity of 6-7 yo. He is a grown man in a little boys brain. They are happy despite his handicap and he goes off to a special school everyday 5 days a week. When I first met him, he would not shake hands with me. I got a bright idea and washed my hands with their hand soap and used the mother's hand lotion and then I took his hand and shook it slightly and he held on to my hand. After that he accepted me but I always had to wash my hands with their hand soap in order for him to accept me. I think the only thing they have to stay on their toes about him is he likes to take off his clothes anywhere so they have to keep an eye on him.

Enjoy Coos Bay as it's a nice place. Been through there several times though not for quite a few years come to think of it. I usually tend to skirt Oregon and just go straight up Idaho and then over to Washington when I go anywhere these days.

While I agree with you that charity begins at home it is their money which they earned to do with as they see fit...if they wish to waste it so be it (it is not the government's money, which is our money and thus should definitely stay here at home).

I went to Coos Bay one time on a bike trip. I wanted a tee from the Westest Mostest Harley shop. Dammmmmmmmmmmn it! About six months before that they had moved somewhere else. I went to the new shop but didn't buy a tee from them. I just thought Coos Bay was a cool name.

There's a big Harley Shop there around 2nd and Johnson, somewhere there abouts. Always see 30-40 bikes out front, even a few foreign jobs. It's sort of a favorite stop-over spot on the way North and South on the coast.
