I arrived here in Uppper Sonora (southern Arizona) earlier today. When I left Nasville, it was 18 degrees. When I got here it was 67.

I made a pitcher of Margueritas, went out on the patio and watched the sun set over thunder mountain.

Tomorrow around mid-day, I will whip up a pictcher of something large enought to last until sundown.

Maybe I could do Margueritas until 3 P.M. then strawberry daquaries until sundown. I need to keep my strength up, it is a tough life down here.

These foo-foo fruity drinks are a way to drink during the day with a modicum of respect from non-drinkers.

You can't sit around all day drinking Tequila and Tecate boilermakers, people would think you were a common drunk.

Come sundown, you can indulge in more manly drinks, like tequila and Tecate boilermakers. Then you won't be called an alkie.

Why? [Big Grin]

I agree......I work nights, so bright and early (about 5 AM most days!), I've got a whiskey in my hand. [Wink] No fruity drinks for me, but that's personal taste.

Hey, I work 6 days a week, pay my bills and taxes, support the wife and kids very comfortably, don't do illegal shit or drugs, obey the laws of society, so I don't really give a Flying Fuck who would be offended by me drinking at 7 AM. Besides, that's my "afternoon", lest someone thinks I'm a "common drunk". Perish the thought..... [Big Grin]

Doc,

I hope that it is a good Kentucky Bourbon Whiskey you be drinking? And not that cheap watered down charcoal filtered 'shine that those cretins south of the border piss out.
I have read in previous posts that you enjoy Woodford Reserve. Have you tried their new 4 grain Bourbon? It costs about $85 for a bottle but its well worth it..so so smooth. [Big Grin]

Booker

This Morning's "Table Fare":

And Yes, I do drink Woodford Reserve, but not on a daily basis; $30/fifth gets a little expensive, so I reserve it for weekends, friends over, etc. Old Evan gets the job done, for $105.00/CASE. [Big Grin]

Doc,

Ok, Evan Williams, good selection. A really good buy for the price and a good every day Bourbon. Heaven Hill Distilliers, Bardstown KY, the only family owned and operated distillery in Kentucky. Craig and Parker Beam father and son Master Distillers. Next time your at your local liqour store pick up a bottle of Evan Williams Single Barrel Vintage, trust me, you will love it.

Regards,
Booker
