I seen the new model 19 what a POS. with the lock on the side and the barrel has a Sleeve on it and the finish is crap. how sad to see this.

Yes, indeed.

S&W has slipped badly in quality control. Ditto making the barrels into two pieces. There is no way I would buy a current production S&W handgun at any price.

I don't own any internal lock models and never will. This is why the older pre lock models especially those with pinned barrels and recessed chambers are selling for some serious money these daze.

And so it goes.

It kills me to think of all the police trade in S&W 10s, 15s, 64s, 65, 66s, and 67s that I bought and sold over the years

I still have a 3" M-65 with a trigger and action job and a 66-0 that does not need a trigger and action job.

my father was a Detroit police officer and he gave me a model 19 Detroit Police commemorative its beautiful.
