Didn't post about it but bored.

First revolver I owned that fires .38 Special only and alloy framed but +P rated

Came with nice boot type grips on it and factory rubber ones in the box. Also 4 iirc spider web thin full moon clips that can stay in the box.

Picked up two speed loaders and speed strips for it.

Oh and the pro series has no Hillary Hole lock at all.
Got it stoked with Hornady Critical Defense currently but will be working on some +p loads soon as I get other things done on the loading bench. Got 1000 125gr JHP for both practice, load developing and 500 pieces of brass so far.

I own a gang of J frame .38 Specials. One of them is the 642-1 no lock Centennial. It is rated for the +P 125 grain JHP load. My carry load is the Federal 129 grain Hydra-Shok JHP.

My practice hand load that duplicates the velocity and recoil of the Hydra-Shok consists of a Winchester 125 grain JHP over 5.3 grains of Win #231. It shoots to the same point of aim and only costs me 1/5th what the factory round costs.

As always use caution when working up a load. Just because it is safe in my piece doesn't mean that it will be in yours.

And so it goes.
